Keep your head still!! What if I was to tell you it was bad advice? To hit consistently powerful straight shots, there has to be weight transference during the swing.

On the backswing the weight moves behind the ball so it can then drive through, adding power to the shot. If your head stays still during the swing you can't transfer the weight! Try this, get a ball and throw it as far as you can, notice how your head moves back and through?

Now try and throw the ball without moving your head, you will feel a serious lack of power.

Look at how much Vijay Singh's head moves out of the red box on his backswing.

So no more "keep your head still" let it drift back and through!
